When I think of the Audemars Piguet Royal Pine Offshore, my mind immediately thinks of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the actual larger-than-life action hero who dominated the world of bodybuilding in the late '70s, the box office in the '80s and '90s, and even politics within the '00s. They're both big, bold, as well as brash. Arnie wore one in End of Days as well as had a limited edition made for his third Terminator movie. But more important than that, he even wears them off-camera. Unfortunately, I lack the bravado of an Arnold, but I do fancy a nice watch, especially one from one of the most well-liked brands inside the history associated with watchmaking. Therefore , I decided to spend a week with this 2018 limited edition 18k pink gold and titanium version to see if my measly 7. 25 in. wrists - that we assume is much smaller than Conan the Barbarian's - could handle it.
The original Offshore was a chronograph, but the version I spent time with is their diver - equipped with 300m of water proofing and a fun-to-use internal spinning bezel. The crown is ceramic instead of rubber, but the exposed rubber gasket still remains. Immediately upon low dye strapping this watch on, this felt heavy. I've worn gold watches before, actually ones fitted to a precious metal bracelet, but despite this Offshore's relatively lightweight rubber strap, this Regal Oak felt so much heavier than I expected. This wasn't a pro or con, but just a surprising observation. If you're worried about comfort, the particular rubber band makes the whole package really easy to wear. I can't imagine how people wear Offshores on a bracelet, however I can't bump it until I try it. bugatti watch replica

I would also note that I found this Overseas to wear much bigger than typically the specs would suggest. It's listed at 42mm, but I've worn 43mm and 44mm watches which felt way smaller on my wrist. The actual hefty look is due to some extent to the angular case design and rather lengthy 54mm lug-to-lug distance. Again, this surprised me, but it wasn't a bad thing. In fact , after wearing it for a day, We enjoyed exactly how it looked on my band wrist. It's definitely sporty, but it doesn't come off too strong thanks to often the softer color palette. I can't say the same for some regular production Offshore Divers.
I was confronted with even more surprises when I began recording macro video of this watch. Everything from the Mega Tapisserie face and case to the finishing on the self-winding Calibre 3120 is extremely crisp. It also has a beautifully engraved rare metal rotor embossed with the AP logo and the exact coat regarding arms for both the Audemars and also Piguet family. I took the watch off numerous times throughout the day just to stare at this thing. Regrettably, the newer Offshores have an updated rotor that doesn't appear nearly as nice -- a shame, as this was gorgeous.
I have a lot more information to share about my week with this Just offshore, including some very important connections to the hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, so I made a full video for your watch-related entertainment needs. Please enjoy this week within the wrist.
